May:



Purbeck Art Weeks - 
visit artists in their studios and enjoy accompanying music and entertainment. Runs until 10th June; more information

June: 

Swanage Fish Festival Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June -
celebrating all things fishy with fun for all the family!

Swanage Rowing Regatta - come and see the very best Pilot Gigs racing across Swanage Bay.

July:

Swanage Jazz Festival - Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July - After two years away, the oldest and largest pure Jazz Festival in Southern England is back with a programme featuring sixty top quality bands performing at a range of venues accross Swanage. Sand Fest -  at Sandbanks beach ( www.sandfest.co.uk )

Purbeck Pirate Festival - Shiver me timbers it's Pirate Festival back by popular demand! Hosted by the Swanage Pier Trust in conjunction with the Frigate Schtandart, there are plenty of activities to get involved in at the stalls on the waterfront. All hands ahoy!

Camp Bestival - voted Best Family Festival, this is family orientated festival hosted in Lulworth Castle. See the fantastic line-up here.

Swanage Carnival Week - Saturday 30th July to Saturday 6th August, 
the highlight of the year, Swanage comes alive for its annual carnival - this promises to be action-packed week with fun for all the family. Full programme available at www.swanage carnival.com 

August:

Swanage Lifeboat Week - a week of entertainment dedicated to fundraising for this lifesaving charity.

 September:

Swanage Folk Festival -  this welcoming festival is always a joy. (www.swanagefolkfestival.com )

Heritage Open Days  - raising awareness of the rich architectural heritage that Dorset has to offer, this is a great chance to access some of the great hidden treasures rarely on access to the public. ( www.heritageopendays.org.uk 

October:

Swanage Blues Festival - a bi-annual event boasting the best Blues musicians from Swanage and beyond. ( www.swanage-blues.org )

Swanage Railway Autumn Steam Gala -  ( www.swanagerailway.co.uk )

Purbeck Film Festival  - hosted in the Rex cinema, Wareham, this event celebrates great movies.( www.purbeckfilm.com )

November:

Swanage Railway Santa Specials  - start the Festive season by travelling with Santa on the steam train. Children receive a wrapped gift whilst adults are treated to a festive drink and mince pie. (www.swanagerailway.co.uk)



December:

Boxing Day Swim - are you brave enough to take a dip in the refreshing Swanage sea for charity? Held annually, you can expect fancy dress and chilly swimmers!
